How to Play Fight Song Fantasy™

Long Teams vs. Short Team

Each squad consists of 9 FBS teams: 8 Long Teams you want to win each week, and 1 Short Team you want to lose. Both a win (Long) and a loss (Short) score the same way — so picking the right Short team is just as strategic as your Long picks.

Scoring

After each week's games are completed, every squad earns points for its owned teams. Long and Short scores use the same formula — a Long score goes to the owner of the winning team; a Short score goes to the owner of the losing team.

Cross-Pick Scoring: If your squad owns the winning team as Long and the losing team as Short in the same game, you earn both scores for that game.

Situation Points Notes
Base score +2 Win (Long) or loss (Short)
Loser scored 0 (shutout) +2 Defensive bonus
Loser scored 1–6 +1 Defensive bonus
Winner scored 50–59 +1 High-scoring bonus
Winner scored 60–69 +2 High-scoring bonus
Winner scored 70+ +2 High-scoring bonus
Maximum per game 7 Points cap — bonuses cannot exceed this
Bye week / cancelled game 0 No game played, no points awarded

Defensive and high-scoring bonuses are additive, capped at 7 total points per game. Example: a shutout win (2 + 2 = 4) where the winner scored 65 (+ 2) = 6 points.
